Country music star Blake Shelton is setting sail in October 2012 and inviting his fans to go along with him.
The Blake Shelton Cruise will sail away on Norwegian Cruise Lines’ “Norwegian Jewel” on a seven-day tour of the eastern Caribbean, leaving Miami, Fla., on Oct. 14, 2012, according to the announcement on BlakeShelton.com.
The Tishomingo resident will play for fans who take the cruise in the ship’s state-of-the art 1,000 seat theater, and he plans to invite some friends to take the stage, too.
“Some of my favorite country music friends are also gonna be there to make sure there is plenty of music every night in three locations! There isn’t a lot of space, but that’s what makes it special,” Shelton says in the announcement.

Blake Shelton Covers "Footloose" for Film Soundtrack
Blake Shelton will sing the title track for the remake of Footloose, according to Entertainment Weekly. The film is scheduled for an Oct. 14 release. Other artists on the soundtrack include Big & Rich with Gretchen Wilson ("Fake I.D."), Zac Brown ("Where the River Goes"), Whitney Duncan ("So Sorry Mama") and Jana Kramer ("Let's Hear It for the Boy"). The new film stars Kenny Wormald, Julianne Hough and Dennis Quaid. The original Footloose, starring Kevin Bacon, was released in 1984.
